In April, the little ones and I were able to come to Texas in order to visit Amber's new baby Dylan.  We wanted to hold off and come during Ashley's spring break so that she could come with us, but unfortunately that's the same week that Amber's maternity leave was up and she would be back at work.  We had fun, but I felt bad for Ashley :-(

We were able to visit with the Thackers and Petrones for one day.  We ate lunch at a Mexican restaurant and this was the first time I've had Mexican since we moved to Washington state.  I'm a little skeptical about trying out any of the Mexican places up there. Afterwards we played at a park near the Petrone's new home.  

Rebecca - if you see this, do you have the pictures in the park of Autumn, Levi & Eva?  I could not find the pictures with Eva and I know we had pictures of all 3 of these kids on the playground.  I also thought I had a picture of the kids with at least one of the grandparents.  

While in Texas we made sure to see baby Dylan as much as possible.  We also spent a day taking the train to downtown Ft Worth because we knew the kids would enjoy the ride.  All of the big kids (including myself) were tired and grumpy by the end of the day.  I forgot it can be hot in Texas even in the beginning of April.

Back in Washington! Miss the extended family, but it's nice to be back with David, Ashley and the cool weather.  

David took off on a Friday so that we could have a fun family day trip.  We started off going to a Tulip Festival and then had lunch at a darling place by the water and then took a ferry to Whidbey Island to see Deception Pass and Fort Casey.

 Other than our day trip and visiting family in Texas, we had fun the rest of the month by participating in various activities.

They had an Easter egg hunt in the neighborhood and then at the preschool.  The amount of candy they collected was more reminiscent of Halloween.
