The Koldan's came to visit us for almost a week in June. My kids were super excited to see Kaleb and baby Dylan. Levi is now as crazy about Kaleb as Autumn is. They LOVE that boy.
Amber, Kaleb and Dylan showed up late Friday night so after visiting we just went straight to bed. On Saturday we stayed around the house in the morning to help Ashley out and then headed off to the Newcastle Beach Park so the kids could play. We had a neighborhood garage sale (that hardly anyone participated in) and Ashley asked if she could sell our pile of donation items to make extra money. I am not a fan of garage sales, but Ashley said she was broke and would like the money. Poor girl didn't make as much as she thought she would and has no desire to do it next year.
Justin arrived in town late Saturday night. On Sunday we drove to Mt. Rainier and we were unable to access the first place we wanted to see due to the heavy snow (it's June!) so we headed off to the next spot. It too was covered in snow so we couldn't do too much there either. We were able to hike around the bottom of Mt Rainier easily and spent most of our time there.
Ashley's not in the pictures since she wanted to do stuff with her friends instead.

About to hike downhill to see Narada Falls |
On Monday we headed to Seattle to visit Pike's Place Market. Justin bought us a few food items that he has always wanted to try and I just want to note that Turkish Delight is disgusting. After Pike's Place we checked out Alki Beach and then headed to a local brewery. Ashley is once again not in the pictures because she doesn't get out of school until June 18th. We would have let her skip school but its the week before exams and she can't miss.

For the life of me, I cannot remember what we did on Tuesday but we stayed busy. Amber - can you remind me? On Wednesday I wasn't feeling so well so the Koldans took Autumn and they visited Whidbey Island. On Thursday morning, we did the Seattle touristy thing and rode the Duck around and the kids loved it. I actually liked it more than I thought I would. We visited another brewery for lunch before the Koldan's headed back to Texas.
